About Emmit Scott
I believe that every day is a gift, something precious to be enjoyed to its fullest and filled with love, friendship, and the things which bring happiness to ourselves and to others. I've always had a passion for art and creating art in any kind of medium makes me happy, even more so if my work brings this same feeling to others.
I'm a self-taught, North Carolina-based artist. For most of my life, the medium of choice for me was pencil, with the occasional foray into oil on canvas. For the last couple of years, though, I've been enjoying working with digital media. My taste in subject matter is fairly wide ranging, including portraits and such topics as fantasy, nature, animals, and the old west.
